It's finally happening! A second season for "Too Many Losing Heroines!" has officially been greenlit! This is all thanks to everyone who supported the series and everyone who worked on it! I wrote about the anime in Volume 7's afterwards, but I never could have imagined I'd be announcing Season 2 by Volume 8.
It seems my past life really did save the world after all...
Following the broadcast of the first season(oh, the joy of being able to call it the first!), many things surrounding the series have changed. We won first place overall in This Light Novel is Amazing! 2025, and many fans came flocking to Toyohashi City, the setting of the story, for anime pilgrimages. I've heard that many people have become repeat visitors, and some even decided to move there permanently! This incredible phenomenon is entirely thanks to the warm people of Toyohashi City graciously accepting the passionate feelings of our fans.
The broadcast of the second season is still a ways off, but between the first season, the original work, the manga adaptation, collaborations, and pilgrimages—there's plenty to enjoy ahead.
The fun is only just beginning!
I hope all of you will continue to enjoy your youth right alongside Nukumizu and them, as honorary students of Tsuwabuki High School!
...Truth be told, I'm actually writing this the day after the Tsuwabuki High Literature Club Extracurricular Activity event held in Akishima City. The incredible performances by the cast, Bocchi Boromaru-san, and Moss-san left me so emotionally overwhelmed that I'm still trying to process it all.
I will never, ever forget the sheer joy that filled the venue the moment the second season was announced.
I hope to carry that profound emotion with me as I continue writing Makeine in the future.
Now, Volume 8 focuses primarily on Tiara-san.
I hope you'll all warmly watch over her as she moves forward, now that she has courageously taken that first step.
To Imigimuru-sensei, who once again breathed life into this volume with an array of absolutely divine illustrations.
To my editor, Mr. Iwaasa, who patiently stuck with me through endless manuscript revisions.
Thank you both so very much for all your hard work!
And finally, to all of who picked up Volume 8! I hope to see you all again in the next volume!
